CosplayCentral.com Design & Launch

Believe it or not, cosplay is a nearly five-billion dollar business, with cosplayers acquiring everything from armor and beads to fabrics and screen-accurate helmets. Nowhere was that featured more than at ReedPop events, where our shows like New York Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration featured thousands of eye-popping designs.

To super-serve this community, I created CosplayCentral.com and oversaw all aspects of the site, including initial pitch, budgeting, website development, launch strategy, and staffing. I enlisted an army of cosplay influencers reaching millions of fans to create exclusive video and written content, and I filmed interviews with celebrities discussing fans dressing as their characters, as well as regular cosplayers talking about their outfits and what they love about cosplay. The site attracted a number of sponsorships, which included two large endemic brands: Party City and Michaels. It quickly became the largest editorial site covering the world of cosplay.
